Omniata gives you full freedom to model your data in almost any way. There are many basic data transformations that are covered elsewhere in the Support Portal, but in this section the focus is on:

  • Custom SQL
  • Custom Lua

Custom SQL. Omniata allows you to run queries (MySQL) directly against tables through an interface. In the following, we will cover the interface and examples of custom SQL that can be useful either as they are, or with some modification based on your needs.

Custom Lua. Omniata enables custom transformation of event data through custom created event formulas written on Lua. While many use cases for data trasnformations are convered by standard data fields, lookup tables, and custom user fields, there is sometimes need for more complex use cases. These use cases include event sequences, timing, and many others. In the following we have collected some examples that have been found useful either as they are, or with some modification based on your needs.
